RYDER & HOPE’S KITCHENWARE DISPLAY AT THEIR LYME REGIS STORE
Every now and then you discover a shop which really makes you remember the pleasure of a proper browse where you can touch and smell, as well as see. Ryder & Hope is such a place. Occupying a beautiful Grade II listed double fronted building on the high street in Lyme Regis in Dorset, Ryder & Hope was opened four years ago by friends Alice Meller and Michelle Blyth.

From ceramics and textiles to art and fabulous ostrich feather dusters, Alice and Michelle champion local artists and makers and also ethically source items from around the world to create a range of beautiful and unique homewares. With their backgrounds within retail and product design, they’ve also introduced their own designs into the mix. We particularly love their solid oak recessed mirror, handmade in next door Devon, and their fantastically cosy alpaca socks.

And if you can’t make it to the store itself, Ryder & Hope also sell online, but do visit if you’re ever in beautiful West Dorset. What could be better than having a mooch and picking up a gorgeous picnic blanket before heading to the beach for fish and chips? Surely the perfect retail therapy.
